I occasionally wear contact lenses. I've always used dailies, but I only put them in if I'm going to the football or driving a long way (I'm only -1.0). Anyway, I find my lenses very drying and was thinking of going for these silicone hydrogel monthly ones instead.

Do people think dailies are more or less comfortable than silicone hydrogel monthlies?

Thanks!

Depends who you talk to; my uncle cant wear anything but dailies. I cant wear dailies, I find after 4 hours they are getting dry. I wear fortnightly contacts. Have no problem with them, can wear them 24 hours and its fine, even had 1 pair in for about a month.

They are thicker so keep moist for longer. I wear Acuvue Oasys (Hyrdaclear plus) as does the mrs, we never have any problem with them drying before the fortnight is up.

Yeah, mine dry out after a few hours too. I'll try some monthly ones. I've ordered some Air Optix Aqua ones - apparently you can leave them on at night, so hopefully they will do the job.

Try monthly. They are more durable and more comfortable.

I've never had a problem with dailies, try this website, they're cheap as chips...

I had problems with various lenses as they pinched my eyeball and a circle of blood was appearing where the lenses made contact with the eyeball.
However, I migrated onto these 'breathable' one that are only £12 for a pack of three.

I had the same problem with dailies, switched to fortnightly lenses and it's been fine since, a lot more comfortable as well.

Forgot to post the link:I only have worn them overnight when I have forgotten to take them a few times. However, they were as good as gold.Following advice from my optician I try to remove my lenses early in the evening.
