It reminded me of this https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=WAa-lCowVMY, which was also recorded in 1957, but was originally recorded in 1940

One of my favourites. Bizarrely, it's at a railway station here in the UK.

Yeah its Chuck.
He released two versions of this - one was speeded up but apart from that it was the same cut.
He also knocked out another 'steel guitar' track - Surfing Steel

One of my favourites. Bizarrely, it's at a railway station here in the UK.I saw her with Muddy Waters, Sonny Terry and Brownie McGhee, Rev. Gary Davis and Otis Spann on an American Folk Blues package in either 1963/64. It was an amazing time to be alive when all the blues greats came over. I saw Little Walter 'bout the same time.

Less than ten bob a seat! And the place wasn't full! The tour has been featured in a BBC doco.

Back to Chuck on steel - check out http://steelguitarforum.com/Forum15/HTML/006449.html

I'd forgotten about Mad Lad This was on the first LP I ever bought - in 1960. Probably his best steel guitar track: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n15fgbW99g8
