Very satisfactory it has to be said and seemingly far better attitude and quality.

Slightly more optimistic about the forthcoming season, if the manager makes the best team selections.

Well done team. Well done Slade and the back room staff.

So far.

I think 'Tim' and his cronies who are normally calling for Slade's head in WOL are having withdrawal symptoms from not being able to criticise him and call him a clown. Long may it continue! http://www.ccmb.co.uk/images/smiley_icons/thumbup.gif

2 clean sheets don't bode well.

I've not seen any of the pre-season games, but we weren't exactly playing top class sides. We're starting the new season with mostly the same players as last season and with the same manager.
At the moment, I'm viewing the new season like I used to view the first day back at school after the summer holidays.
It all seems to be starting too soon, I'm already having to get an early tee time to dash from golf course to the CCS for the Fulham game.
I hope I'm wrong, but my expectation is a long succession of boring, frustrating Saturday afternoons.

Have we not just beaten two newly promoted premier league teams?

I'm encouraged that we're starting with a group of players who ought to be capable of more than we saw last season.

If we get 7 from the first 3 games we will be doing very very well, but I'd be content with 5 given the opposition
