If the seller gets rid of that for £199, he's nuts. It's a great spec PC for the dough but its only worth what someone else will pay for it, PC's are 1980's, I'm currently looking about for a new lappy, will be paying around £800 and it'll not be as well specified, but i need a mobile piece of kit.

iGovernor, I've been looking for a machine like this all week. I'm not quite sure what you've done when you placed the ad, but this is not hitting any of my searches. It doesn't look like you've told eBay what the processor, ram etc are and none of that detail is in the subject line. Which basically makes it invisible to anybody looking for a computer with an i7 processor; 16gb ram, 1gb radeon graphics or whatever. There are tens of thousands of computers on ebay - your (very impressive) machine is just lumped in there with all the others.

I have not come across this machine until now - I really would recommend you edit your listing and try to give ebay as much detail as possible about the machine, and put the important stuff (i7, 16gb ram, 1gb graphics etc) in the subject line so people can actually find it! Nobody is going to click on a link for "desktop tower". You might even call it a gaming computer, as people do search for that.

A quick search for similar machines brought up a few that are similar- look how they advertised theirs. Ignore the current price, it's irrelevant as there are days to go on these. Just look at the bids. This is what tells you that people can find it and want it. The stupid early bidders will be destroyed by the actual bidders in the last few seconds, so the seller should get a decent amount:

Just checked with the weight and size, cost no more than £22.90 but when I get the exact weight it could be less, when looking at costs for delivery, most quotes have been around the £49.00 mark, thanks for pointing out this site for me http://www.ccmb.co.uk/images/smiley_icons/thumbup.gif

What? http://www.ccmb.co.uk/images/smiley_icons/hehe.gif Bizarre ?, you think that PC's sell well ?, look at the market share of PC's being sold currently, that's why gov is having to practically give his PC away.

That's a truly bizarre statement.I think 1980s may be pushing it slightly...PCs were rather popular in the early 2000s.
