I hadn't realised the young lad we signed from Gainsborough and who played in our development team las season had been released. Apparently he is now with Gateshead.

Decent finisher, but a complete lack of pace (would have been my candidate to come last in a squad sprint, even with a group of players as slow as ours) meant he was very unlikely to figure in the first team - yet another strange signing by Ole.

Apparently he is now with Gateshead.It was Guisborough, that's what prompted the U 18's pre season friendly there a few weeks ago. Was a fantastic finisher for them, pity he didn't make the step up but has another chance to show what he can do at Gateshead.

Johnson scored a couple of goals for Gateshead in pre-season and I confidently predicted on here that he'd have a successful season. I'm not asking Mike to delete that post quite yet but it hasn't been a great start for Danny- subbed after an hour of the first game (his replacement scored two to turn a 0-1 into a 2-1 win), then dropped for the second game. He came on after an hour in a 4-1 home defeat to Tranmere.

Another former City player was at Gateshead recently, Kevin Sainte-Luce. He's now moved to France to play for F.C. Dieppe, a lower league club.
