Greek night tonight here so :
Ouzo or two with little snacky things.
Retsina with some Moussaka.
Metaxa brandy with some Baklavas and gritty Greek coffees.

I have never tried Strongbow cloudy but as a Cornish man who has drunk a lot of cyder in my time, I can say that of the big name brands available nationwide, the best one in my view is Thatchers, especially the Gold. Some of you may have a problem with the Iron Lady reference but if you can get past that then you are in for a treat. I think of Strongbow like Diamond White - not really cider or cyder at all. No idea if it's any good, I don't drink Cider much but it comes in glass bottles, and it smells pretty decent.

When I was a young man I used to frequent the Portreath Arms public house that served a local scrumpy which was green in colour and by default had a single pickled onion, and possibly some straw, in the pint glass. Extra onions were available on request. I am sure you know of it but if anyone here is ever in Cornwall then pop into the Blue Anchor in Helston.
