Why wouldn't you personalise your desk. You can feel like a robot in work so you dont want every desk looking the same. You could be on the phone for 30mins, you can't stare at the hot girl for that long, and I would rather look at something personal that the feelgood slogons on the wall. What better than your loved ones or something to do with a hobby.

I wouldn't have thought you have worked in an office much Gluey?

On the plus side you get a great reaction when you draw a moustache on their wives piccie when their not looking, or, in some cases tipex them out http://www.ccmb.co.uk/images/smiley_icons/thumbup.gif

I don't personalise mine, but I like it when others do. Gives you something to make idle chit-chat about rather than discussing actual work. Plus you get to see who has got a fit wife/girlfriend, and who has not.

When my daughter was about 2 or 3, she took my son's hamster to "give it a bath".
Of course, it didn't survive.
I made the mistake of telling this story in the office.
Next day, her pic had some post-it notes added top and bottom - "Wanted" "Hamicide"

What's the point? Pictures of family, friends and cats, kids drawings and fluffy toys.My workplace is in my home, so really do not feel the need to "personalise" it any further. Having said that, it looks like any other office would look without pictures, drawings or fluffy toys.

Leicsester were piling on the pressure late in the game, Vaughan was through, but Gabor Gyepes basically brought him down with a rugby tackle to save the points. http://www.ccmb.co.uk/images/smiley_icons/hehe.gif 'Ooops' http://www.ccmb.co.uk/images/smiley_icons/smiley.gif Did you copy and paste that http://www.ccmb.co.uk/images/smiley_icons/sherlock.gif
