I am considering buying one of these bluetooth speakers and would appreciate any thoughts from anyone who has got one and also suggestions of any alternatives out there.

I have two Bose wave machines.

The first I bought about 14 years ago and it still works fine except the time change buttons have become a little sticky as it lives in the kitchen.

I bought a second Bose machine with DAB and a wireless speaker for the living room about 3 years ago and it has been really good in terms
of sound performance via the " wave " system and ease of use.
Quality products.

Plus one for the Sonos. I have three different models and all work great for varying usages. I have a few friends who have Sonos systems too and all think them fantastic.

I have two Bose wave machines.Though, as has been said on this thread, Sonos appears to be worth considering as well.

Certainly won't be for Croesys refined tastes but we were looking for something we could use occasionally for sitting out in the garden and therefore didn't want to pay much so opted for this based on reviews:

Bolse® 12W NFC Wireless Portable Bluetooth Speaker, 8 hour Playtime with Built-in Speakerphone for iPhone 6, 5S, 5, iPad Air, Mini, Samsung Galaxy S5, S4, HTC, Tablets, PC https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00GBST44I/ref=cm_sw_r_awd_E6G0v bZRAGCZ4 (https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00GBST44I/ref=cm_sw_r_awd_E6G0vbZRAGCZ4)

For £30 it's a bargain, Bluetooth connectivity, 8 hours rechargeable battery life and a very respectable sound for the money

Sonos are great but best when paired for stereoSo if I purchased two sonos speakers they would provide a better stereo effect to the sound?

I am considering buying one of these bluetooth speakers and would appreciate any thoughts from anyone who has got one and also suggestions of any alternatives out there. It's a little bit cheaper than their Statement pre and power amp which now tops out at £155,000 and you'll still need to by a source and speakers to get any sound out of it... http://www.ccmb.co.uk/images/smiley_icons/getmycoat.gif

No idea about alternatives, but I've had the bose sound link mini for a couple of years and it is a stunning piece of kit IMHO.
I charge it up, leave it by the telly, music from my iPhone whenever I want it. My CD player sits unused in my study.

Thank you - will do some more research before purchasing. There's a Bose shop in St.David's 2, take your iPhone in there and they'll let you sync your phone to various demo machines. I first saw one in the Apple Store near Central Park, the simplicity and the sound quality blew me away, bought it on the spot.

bang and olufsen all the way, in my humble opinion.

saying that the bose docking station in the kitchen produces some oomph which is good when you need a bit of sub bass
