What did you make of last night's gig?

Although I can't say I'm a fan of the band, I was with a few friends who are and had a good night as a result. I thought the show itself was decent enough in terms of the sound, but Mark Lanegan must be just about the least charismatic front man I've ever seen. Freddie Mercury he is not. He was so nondescript it was funny. It was also the darkest gig I've ever attended. I've never been a fan of elaborate light shows, but that was taking things to the extreme.

Loved the cover of Joy Division's Atmosphere during the encore, though. That was a nice surprise and I thought a couple of the more upbeat tracks towards the end of the set were also excellent.

Were there many there to see mark lanegan ?A decent turn-out but the venue was by no means full. Most of the people there seemed to be big fans, though. He went down very well.

Although he didn't speak , other than a few thanks , he does have an imminence stage presence.I may give one or two of his albums a try after last night. I like his voice and the music was decent enough, so I'll give it a shot.
