Never heard of it, but having looked it's really not to my taste. Looks expensive though. Whether it's any good I have no idea. I'd worry about anything referencing Farrow and Ball paint as a selling point for a bed.

Quick, someone be rude to him so he can feign disgust and go on one of his high ground rants.

Hey, Crosey, have you bought any of the aspirational stuff you've been soliciting opinions about on here recently?

If you want proper high quality stuff which will become family heirlooms then you want to shop at this place:

https://www.vitra.com/en-gb/living?c=GB&u=/

It's located just outside Switzerland and is the real deal for proper high quality designer stuff. If you can afford this stuff then you are probably OK financially. It'll also mark you out as a man of discerning taste rather than nouveau riche.

The whole place is worth a visit and the Vitrahaus showroom is just an amazing building:

If you're into this sort of thing have a browse here.

http://www.andsotobed.co.uk/

There are some fantastic pieces of furniture. We have one of their sleigh beds and mattresses. I used to have back trouble but not any more.

We also have a wardrobe from them but I can't seem to see it on the web site so don't think they do it anymore.

It'll last forever and well worth the investment.

Regards

G

I gave the link to the actual place which tells you exactly where it is! Anyway I'd have thought a man with your intellectual background would have known 'haus' was German...

I find the prices quite reasonable to be fair, although it's not to my taste.

What I do find bizarre is:

a. That Croesy seemed to think he was going to get some sensible replies about this subject on this MB or

b. This is just an attention seeking expedition on his part to attract some abuse

c. A bunch of middle aged men discussing bedroom furniture on a football message board - isn't this the kind of shit they discuss on mumsnet?

Furniture for people who think the price tag is more important than the look. I have seen that before. You can get on of them for £60+VAT at the autumn fair. Massive mark-up by the retailer there. You would easily be able to get £120 from another retailer.

What I do find bizarre is:Looking at the links, I personally find it hideous, but it would be a boring world if we all shared the same taste, so I wish you well with furnishing your boudoir.
