And rightly so. Even if he turns in to a good player, it was a terrible signing. An inexperienced youngster with no EPL experience as our main striker in an attempt to stay up? Stupid. Utterly stupid.

Mata should not be on that list.

I hate those pages, you have to click through them and there's only about 10 words written for each.

Can anyone be arsed to type up the list as an act of kindness?

Afonso Alves Middlesbrough (£13m)
Fernando Torres Chelsea (£50m)
Andriy Shevchenko Chelsea (£30m)
Steve Marlet Fulham (£11.5m)
Konstantinos Mitroglou Fulham (£13m)

In that order!

Those sites are f*cking shit. Have to click through all those pages to find out. It wouldn't be so bad if they had an in depth story for each one, but it is literally one sentence!

And rightly so. Even if he turns in to a good player, it was a terrible signing. An inexperienced youngster with no EPL experience as our main striker in an attempt to stay up? Stupid. Utterly stupid. Konstantinos Mitroglou being case and point. He might have added nothing on the pitch and far too much on the wage bill but how many others would have been envious of a striker who has succeeded at every club bar Fulham and scored goals in the Champions League. Then you have to consider whether he failed because he was an awful fit (signed in January having never played in this country, didn't match what the team needed etc.) rather than just "big money, poor result".
