I don't think it's clear what is going on but it seems true (both that there have been a number of sources stating it and that, well, I want it to be so) that the bonus dispute was about getting less well paid players the sizeable bonus they deserved.

Dont really help themselves though in that they have sold Wales qualifying games to Sky, perhaps there would be less bias if the BBC could actually show some you know, Welsh football.
