One of the more memorable goals I ever saw at Ninian Park.

Brian Clark heads Millwall Keeper Bryan King's goal kick straight back into the net for a 2-0 win.

Anyone else on this board one of the 22,424 there that day ?

One of the more memorable goals I ever saw at Ninian Park. Yeah I was right behind the goal he scored into in the Grange End. Think Tosh got the other in a 2-0 win???? http://www.ccmb.co.uk/images/smiley_icons/ayatollah.gif

I certainly was ! Right behind the goal on the Grange End.

A remarkable and unusual goal. I spoke to Brian Clark about it
when I sponsored the Match ball for my 50th birthday in 2002.

He said that when he later went on to play for Millwall Bryan
King said " Just don't mention that ferking goal ".

Unique in my match viewing. Still think of Clarky with great affection.
A true gentleman.

I saw Brian Clark in an England representative match at Fratton Park. Wasn't out of place in an illustrious side. Skillful footballer - but was he hamstrung by a lack of pace?

I believe he lived at Coryton Rise/Crescent?

There used to be a fence we used to sit on behind the Grange end goal as a kid and that is one of the goals that sticks in the memory, the other in that season was a own goal when the keeper passed the ball to a defender who passed it back and it trickled into his own net, anyone remember the opposition?

One of the more memorable goals I ever saw at Ninian Park. Thanks for making me realise my age, I was there. I had just turned 7 and it was my 1st season as a season ticket holder which I have been ever since. Clarke was my striking hero. Did so much of the work for Toshack and often matched him for goals.

As a 14 year old I thought Clarky was magic. That Millwall game is one of the most memorable City matches I've attended, right through from my joy in learning that the game was still on despite there being a foot or more of snow on the ground up in Pentrebane to that amazing goal for Clarky - about twenty years later I learned that a former girlfriend of mine had been going through her very fleeting football phase at that time and ended up in traction that day after an encounter with some Millwall fans!

I was there. My first season of regular attendance.

I only missed one home game that year when I was waiting at home for the police, who said they would be round that night to talk to my parents about a small indiscretion of mine.

Bastards never even turned up that night either.

Yes I was there. Brian Clark learnt his trade beside the great John Atyeo and then did exactly the same thing to help John Toshack become the player he was.

Yep, in the Grange as were most of Cardiff's youngsters In those days , remember being carried yards downwards by crowd surges, magical times, Clarky was always my favourite much preferred him Tosh.
