I want to set my sons new xbox up before xmas so it has his gamertag and games already installed.
My worry is that once an xbox one is also being used on his live account, will they show up on his 360 dashboard and spoil the suprise. dont fancy setting it up on xmas eve once hes in bed due to xmas beers, any advice appreciated.

I've got 2 Xbox 360's and have seen messages in the past like "Your gamertag was last signed in on another Xbox console".

I wouldn't risk the surprise, plus setting it all up from new with him is part of the fun too?

I've got to say I'm jealous of and excited for you. http://www.ccmb.co.uk/images/smiley_icons/xmasthumbup.gif

It will definitely show up on the 360 that it has signed into another console but whether it'll say its an xbox one I am not sure.

it will show up when he logs into his 360

its not a massive job to do it on christmas day though is it, i would leave it

something similar happened to my sister in law, they have got a iphone for the daughter, she set it up and registered with her daughters e.mail address, so her daughter gets a e.mail to say" welcome to your new iphone " LOL

Personally one of the most enjoyable parts of getting a new electronic device like a console or laptop is setting it all up.

Especially when i was younger, it is like when someone unwraps your present or blows you birthday candles out, your mum may re-wrap it but its never the same.

Also set-up is not that long if you have half decent internet, about 1 hour to install console, and 1 hour per game, just sit down with him and get it going before dinner and should be done by the time you finished your food http://www.ccmb.co.uk/images/smiley_icons/xmasthumbup.gif
