RIP - no ****s given by that guy
70's a good age for somebody who lived life to the full, a good trade-off in my opinion. RIP.
And my tribute .. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QMaVgiJ8Euc (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QMaVgiJ8Euc)

RIP to an old school rock star.
Not my type of music but he was a proper rock and roller.
RIP
motorhead the only heavy metal band i have seen play live todate
RIP
Two of the original Motorhead gone in a matter of weeks apart.
RIP seems incongruous in Lemmy's case, but RIP all the same .
Today is a sad day then........ We lose an absolute one off r&r legend
Seen Motorhead twice, first time around 1987 or 1988 at St David's Hall, Cardiff and the fans at the front were spitting at him when he was singing for some bizarre reason http://www.ccmb.co.uk/images/smiley_icons/shrug.gif , he threatened to stop the concert if they carried on.
Seen them again a couple of years later at Cardiff or Newport, cant quite rememeber.
Very good noisy concerts http://www.ccmb.co.uk/images/smiley_icons/malky.gif

Saw them in about 1980 at Stafford Bingley Hall and they broke the world indoor decibel record (I think). I was deaf for a week after.
Saw them 5 or 6 times. Loved each gig.

Stuck in that place all day watching average metal bands waiting for Motorhead. Up at the crack of dawn and then spent the night in New Street Station. Did the same thing for the Jam. It's amazing what you'll do when you're young.

Saxon, Girlschool, Mythra, White Spirit, Vardis and a band called Witchfynde as I recall.

RIP. It's sad to see so many of the artists i grew up on are now playing the great gig in the sky.Lemmy had a good life though, although he could'nt sing and was ugly as fook he still managed to pull a page 3 model and play to thousands up to the age 70, we'd all take that.

Everyone seems to know who Lemmy was - even Radio 4 listeners!
However, how many of us know two tracks by Motorhead?
And who remembers Ayshea?
Lemmy made the national news over here this morning. It was quite strange listening to them explain that "he was in Motorhead, a heavy metal band that peaked in 1980".
I thought his vocals on Silver Machine were tidy, but as we all know when it comes to rock music, personality/attitude/demeanor trumps natural ability every time.
Everyone seems to know who Lemmy was - even Radio 4 listeners!Watched them at Glastonbury this year and I can confirm not many (me included!)
