All of them were migrants were they? No German nationals been arrested? Officers arrested two men, aged 16 and 23 and apparently of North African origin, overnight on Thursday in connection with the sex attacks, according to German media.

This scenario was predicted by many - and it's happened - tere will be the usual on here , who will tell you it's us in the West's fault, what about everyone's human rights etc - on Radio4 - the german police today confirmed over 50% were asylum seekers mainly from Syria, Iraq and Libya. Similar attacks have been reported on - The Police in Helsinki had already taken steps to counter this, in Finland they seem to have a quite a few problems in this area.
All this lies at the front door of Merkel - and she has no answer other than to ignore it / cover it up

It is not a defense of sexual assaults in Cologne, or an excuse for the systematic abuse (including torture and murder) of women, gays and dissidents in many countries from which asylum seekers have fled. It is a fair response to the attacks on all asylum seekers/immigrants as parasites and dangerous animals.

However, the 'incidents' have also given a wide range of people (including racists and facists - Nazis - across Europe and beyond) another excuse to label all asylum seekers, all Muslims, all 'others' as rapists and murderers and terrorists. If you doubt that just look at the comments under any major online news story - or perhaps one or two other football messageboards. It is open season.It's called deflection.
