I listen to a few podcasts whilst driving around towns as a renegade crime fighter. Namely "No Such Thing as a Fish", "Witness", "The Skeptics Guide to the Universe", "Risk", "Criminal" and "This Week in Jackin'". I enjoy them all, and they're all great in their own ways.

However, I've been finding that I have about an hour spare at the end of the week where I have nothing left to listen to and have to resort back to the radio.

So, I recently searched for "Best podcasts" and came across an episode of something called "The Mystery Show" entitled "Belt Buckle". As much as I enjoy each of the podcasts I listen to, it is rare for something to stick out as a "Wow - that was great" experience. But, this episode had that aura - it was brilliant and I would recommend it to anyone as a "must listen to" podcast.

So, I've recommended you something, now it's your turn to recommend me/us/we/them something equally as good.

The only one from your list that I listen to regularly is 'No Such Thing As A Fish' which is quite interesting.

Most of my other top podcasts are about history or politics, but my top 2 are 'Friday Night Comedy' from the BBC (News Quiz or Now Show) and the 'Guardian Football Weekly' with James Richardson (the best of the football pods).

That is the one. I listened to another episode today - about a vanity plate (as they are called in America) "I LUV 911" - it could have been as good, but the presenter "lost" the tape recording of the conclusion and I was left wondering if she actually "solved" the mystery or not.

Going back to "Criminal" - three great episodes in that series are "The Agreement" "The Portrait" and "The Poster Boy". Oh and "I'm about to save your life". Actually Criminal is a really good podcast - once a month, and I always listen as soon as the next episode is available.

I have deliberately avoided football podcasts for various reasons. I often hear the comedy offerings on Radio 4 anyway, and I think 'Friday Night Comedy' is just a selection of those?

That one looks like the sort of thing I would listen to. I'll download a couple of episodes later and report back my findings.

This is a bit childish but has its moments, made by the creator of Rick and Morty:

And this is a must for any fans of Bill Burr:

The Bill Burr and Larry David episodes are funny.
