Charlton (Slade) knocked out
Ipswich at home knocked out by Stevenage
Sheff Weds held by Cambridge going into extra time
Newport lose on 90 mins again
Eoin Doyle scores an injury time winner for Preston
JET scores a couple
Brentford held by Exeter and go into extra time
Barnsley held and go into extra time
Huddersfield knocked out by Shrewsbury
Birmingham draw 0-0 again so go into extra time
Wigan knocked out by Oldham

Common theme by most (if not all) of these Championship clubs is that most of the line ups changed from the league line up on the weekend.

Trollope, don't do it. It's an accident waiting to happen.

I think I'd honestly only bring Moore into the starting line up on Thursday. Go there with a strong team looking to get it won before making changes later. As the saying goes, "Winning breeds confidence and confidence breeds winning"

Looks like the League is maybe everything now, and the cup(s) a quaint thing of the past...

However I would agree with Mr. Shitpeas' observation above: "Winning breeds confidence and confidence breeds winning" .

Go get 'em u Trollope.

its par for the course , the league cup is meaningless to many championship and premier league clubs with bigger fish to fry, promotion, champions league, survival etc, it just means extra fixtures which they do not want.

cardiff should go hell for leather though, as it will be they only chance of glory this season. :hehe:

We should play the full side, get a bit of momentum going.

Discounting the pre season games and tournament, it would be good for Trollope to get his first competitive win under his belt as well.

I agree with putting a strong team out and getting a win under our Belts......QPR will be brimming in confidence after their opener.
