My attack was some years ago now but not that far from Lamby Way. I was on the coast road coming back from a circular ride Cardiff-Newport-Cardiff late one afternoon and a van came up behind me and a shot came from the passenger window. The police were involved at the time and I spent hours in hospital getting treatment. It'll be those nice lads who live in the caravans down that way...

Find it hard to believe those nice lads down that way would be involved in anything criminal...

I said exactly the same thing when two of them performed a demonstration on my garage lock to show, in reality, what a poor choice I had made when it came to locks.

The upside was eventually I would have had to get rid of the bike that they borrowed and I had no interest in golf, so the bag and clubs were just taken up valuable space, that could have been more effectively occupied by something which strangers didn't find a need to borrow in the middle of the night.
