Only given it one listen so far, didn't instantly appeal but it will have a few more listens when i get the chance to listen without distraction.

Give it a few listens, ideally in a quiet place with headphones on and the volume cranked up.
As I said, a little weird but a very impressive bit of work.

Meant to post last night, but if your a fan of this kind of stuff give Sweet Billy Pilgrim a listen, if you haven't already.
Similar feel but with a more English folky sound which may appeal to your Nick Drake, Dylan tendencies.
Twice born Men, which was nominated for a mercury a few years back and Crown and Treaty which is my personal favorite would be the ones i recommend going for.
I like their stuff but more often than not, have it going on the background.
