Directions please?

Hi lads. How do I get on to Cardiff Rd and then Fairwater Rd when Im on Western Av travelling past the uni? I cant turn right at the crossroads, so do I take the left before the crossroads (Mill Lane) and then turn right at the end taking me up to the crossroad which I then go straight through :sherlock:

Mill Lane always seems to be a bit congested, so thought there might be an easier/quicker way.

you could carry on straight through the lights to the next set where you can filter right up .ely .road, at the end turn left and you're back on .cardiff road.
(Assuming you are not riving an enormous artic or something.)
But I don't know if it would be quicker

Yeah I looked at that way, but there's a 7.5t weight limit. I should have said previously I'm in a hgv.
Would be much easier if they just let you turn right at the crossroads.
