I think most derbies have become a lot more sterile in recent times.

Football is becoming more and more family orientated. Not saying it’s a bad thing but if hostility is what you want, it’s disappearing fast.

That's ridiculous

Celtic v Rangers
Newcastle v Sunderland
A Villa v Bham
Spurs v Arsenal
West Ham v Millwall
Our derby is on a par with Derby v Forest.

I've been to a few of those derbies. City v Swansea Town isn't close to them

Agreed.
Besides for many of us ( older ones especially) the real derby is the Bristol City one .
A bit of journalistic license possibly in play for this article.

I have been to a few of them

Celtic, Newcastle and spurs derbies

Out of them, i would class the celtic rangers the worse, but ours would come a close 2nd, though that could be that i was more " involved " in the city derby

The article has yesterday's date on it but it's a re-hash of an article from a few years ago. It mentions Bristol Rovers as being in the Conference. Wouldn't be surprised if it was first written after we played the Jacks in the Premier league, hence were in the "limelight" at the time
