Friendlies don't count, thought it's competitive games that do.

Technicality! Once he pulls that red shirt on he'll never look back. First Chelsea player born in the 00 to represent Chelsea in their first team. Nice honour for him.

Great experience for the young man. Interesting to see how he gets on at this level.

Took a few heavy tackles I see on the Channel 5 highlight show. One in particular almost cut the lad in half. Got up and played the full 90. Good experience.

Zaha, played for Ingurlund in a friendly, but now plays International football for some African nation whose name I cannot remember.

We are lucky that new nations league has been invented as they'll confirm players nationalities next year. As otherwise we'd be looking at 2019

The qualifiers for the next Euros would have started in September 2018, I'd have thought.

I think he will stick with wales. England have got a truck load of youngsters doing well in age grade football but will never get into first team training squads let alone the senior team any time soon from a football point of view. From a being Welsh point of view he seems to enjoy mixing with the other lads and the work behind the scenes makes them feel like that so I understand.

He can play centre half or defensive midfield can't he? Where did Conte play him last night?

defensive midfield it looked like to me. Only saw highlights. He was clobbered properly in one tackle. Played the 90.

Looks tidy, needs to work on his long passes. He's still young though, so could be the real thing by this time next year!

Reminds me a bit of Rudi Voller in that still.

Can certainly imagine a Dutchman's spit landing in that thicket.

Regarding his long passes the one he does at 2.02 in that video shows he has got it in his locker, he's probably still getting used to playing at this level and the big crowds, etc. Don't forget he's only just turned 17, I think he is going to be a top player though

Yep put back six months for this new competition. The World Cup and Euro qualifying campaigns have always started in September for each cycle.
