Had a look on their forum earlier out of curiosity at whether they'd be buzzing we'd dropped two points or deflated by the late goal...

Just a thought Looking at the bigger picture...

Of course we all know the play-offs are a lottery and the best way for the next few games to pan out would be for us to catch Cardiff and finish second

If that happens, I’d expect Villa to come up through the play-offs as they’re probably the next best team in the league after us and Wolves

Villa are a big club so they (along with Wolves) will probably spend a fortune if they go up and build a good mid-table team

However Cardiff, a small club with Neil Warnock in charge playing long ball rough house football, will almost certainly come straight back down after promotion

So in some ways, *IF* we do get promoted, isn’t the best way to do it with Cardiff, then have at least one team we know will finish below us in our first season up?

A silver lining to the cloud of finishing 3rd perhaps

Agree 100% , Baadiff going up with us would be the best thing that could happen to us, if they go up The Premier League might as well announce in June "That due to a restructure , there will only be two relegation places available next season"
But do we have the nous to go up via the play offs ? That's the problem.

So close and yet so far !
They've got the same quality about them that Brighton had last season, the ability to appear s**t for long periods of the game then nick something at the death.
Next up for them Wolves, but considering that Wolves are somehow playing Tuesday and Friday a bang average Cardiff side might just get something while we go to a much improved Sheffield Wednesday,
Will be interesting to see how we respond tomorrow night now after that.

I think the people who watched the game tonight are a lot more optimistic than those who just saw the score or followed the updates. Sheffield could have easily won that 3 or 4-0. Cardiff looked aweful. They’ve dropped two points, their players were arguing a bit so they’re obviously stressed and they’ve got Wolves next. Great night.

Queue Warnock now saying all the pressure is on us an act of desperation as he knows if it’s just down to his team they’ll prob fcuk it up.

Deciding it'd be great if we went up as we're guarenteed to finish below them in the PL. Whilst being 8 points off us in the Champ

What do you expect? Weve got some of our own fans making out they are Man City Mark II so its no suprise they are overly confident themselves.

This is the Fulham club that's never won anything...ever.

Small club? I was going to ask what their average attendance was but at the risk of that odious twat Jirga derailing the thread I wont.

It's understandable they're highly rated, as they've nearly got better form than us. :hehe:

It's ever so marginally more than ours but they get a hell of a lot more away fans at their games than we do. They get over 2.5k a game, we get less than 1k.

The fan mentioning our players arguing..
That's part of what has got us where we are..We have leaders all over the pitch who scream and shout..All mates leaving the ground though...

As for the performances, why don't they ever mention us against Leeds twice, wolves, villa, Brentford.. where our football blew teams away? Too easy to stick to the narrative that we are crap.. We did what we had to not to lose a hard away game in crap conditions. Couldn't care a **** what it looks like if that point makes the difference come the end of the season.

Away fans in a given season determines the size of a club?

For all fans of these teams behind us who like to share such insights the question "how shit must you be?" springs to mind.

With a few additions I can see us doing alright next season playing the way we do now. What the likes of Fulham don't realise is just because you play some good stuff in the championship doesn't mean you won't get undone coming up against better teams with at least as good players in the prem. Blimey Stoke were successful for years playing like us under Pulis. Its a decent blueprint for any club that doesn't have a transfer kit of zillions.

Not true, they won that Michael Jackson statue from a fairground game didn't they?

Ours doesn't count though. Anyone can go unbeaten for 3 months playing shitty hoofball. Anyone.

Bang average but still above them, bunch of twats! :hehe:

The so-called "smaller clubs" seem to be willing us to go up ahead of the big boys from what I've seen, the arrogance of the likes of Wolves, Villa and Fulham is astounding

Fulham get a lot of away fans because its a nice area, relatively easy to get to, relatively close to most clubs and a lovely ground
