Synth pop!! Ugg!! One of my least favourite genres of music.
However, there is one shining light among the mucho dross, and it is here in this song. Featuring the sumptuous vocals of the best female vocalist this county has ever produced!

Do you know that the balloons in the original version aren't red? The word 'red' was inserted to fill a gap in syllables as the German version refers to balloons as air balloons. I'm here all week...

Gary Numan is playing at St Davids Hall next month with a full Orchestra. Can't wait.
The more I listen to OMD the better it gets.

What about A Flock of Seagulls? Although they had some guitar, they were synth oriented, a bit like the early Gary Numan lineup. Yazoo deserve a mention too.

The more I listen to OMD the better it gets. hi bloop yes I had noticed he was there, shame I can't afford a ticket. Since OMD reformed they have produced 3 great albums just as good as their early stuff. Saw them in Bristol last year, still rocking!!
can't leave this thread my 2'nd fav soft cell track and from last weeks farewell concert
