The OP asked Leave voters, regardless of their motivation for voting to leave the EU whether this was the kind of shit that drove them to the ballot box. I find it truly baffling that the same people call Nigel Farage a " racist " but condone anti semitism in the Labour Party and want to stay in the EU, which was theorised about then formed by former Nazis who had run slave labour camps.

True, Walter Hallstein was a former member of several Nazi professional organisations who became the first president of the European Commission. Given the period and the founder states there must have been other people in the EEC/EU who had embarrassing past associations - but that does not add up to your UKIP -lite distortion of history.

However off putting , it is best we live in a free democratic speach country , that allows the majoity its voice , the trick I think is to stand ones corner strongly without being rude, argue ones views in an articulate way ,rather than being put off by a person whose views politically clash with yours, but your music or football tastes bring you togther, differences make us unique.
