Are they more aware of their positioning now? Remember years ago when as soon as they reached their six yard box before the game they’d turn around facing the net, calculate the centre of the goal and drag a line with their studs up to the penalty spot to aid their awareness when the goal was at their back. I’ve got a feeling it was outlawed much to groundsmen around the country’s relief. Every parks team’s ‘keeper did it as well. It’s strange the things that come into your head at work isn’t it:hehe:

Some used to mark the 6 yard line in line with the goalposts as well
