You make it sound like it's completely avoidable. Do you think the same of goals conceded at set pieces, where a defender loses concentration, a goalkeeper flaps, the avoidable foul that was given away previously, the corner given away due to poor defending? Most goals are conceded due to an avoidable mistake.

Wtf I'd going on with the so called top teams? Man City conceding 5, Man Utd 6 and now Liverpool?

Lump on Everton for the title with Calvert Lewin being top scorer.

Now this would have been some all dayer today in normal times. You can imagine the mocky Scousers goading and taking the piss out of the phoney Mancs earlier in the pubs with the boot on the other foot now. 5-2 now though.

It'll all be Adrian's fault, like Karius he'll be hung out to dry.

I’ve got a hazy memory that the restart after the 1963 big freeze, when the season went on well into the summer, threw up some weird results. Perhaps it’s an ‘out of normal routine’ thing for players.

The empty stadiums, have got to be a contributing factor, surely?

The right side of Liverpool's defence has looked shaky for a while. Couldn't see them shipping 7, but there had already been more enough evidence that they're vulnerable at the back to suggest they need to do something about their defence.

Alexander Arnold is great going forward but gets caught out of position all of the time and Gomez looks prone to having a big mistake in him every game at the moment.

I wonder how many games it took last season for them to concede the same amount of goals as they have already conceded in this current season?

Right from the opening seconds, Liverpool were wide open down their right and struggling defensively. I don't like saying it, but credit to Villa who are benefitting from appointing one of the better, young English managers in my opinion. That said, they weren't so good as to earn that result purely from their own efforts, they received considerable help along the way from the most passive display I've seen from Liverpool under Klopp's management.

Maybe it was a one off, but I think I'm right in saying that Dortmund were bottom of the league going into the winter break during Klopp's last season with them and so there remains the possibility that we were seeing the beginning of a period where the Klopp magic starts to fade a bit - I think there's evidence to suggest that something similar may be happening at Man City as well.

If ever there was a caption highlighting the fact that possession is not that important, there it is.

Its all about how you set up to challenge the particular opposition and Villa did it brilliantly yesterday.
Liverpool's form since lockdown has not been great and it could well continue unless Klopp listens to Roy Keene

Grealish, I'm afraid, looks very comfortable in the Premier league and Ollie Watkins it seems could go on to be one of the greats.
Nice lad too.
