Another marginal decision in the 91st minute to level the Villa v West Ham game.

I don't understand the rule anymore.

Not fussed on Villa but you can't help but feel for them.
One side in it, missed a penalty, missed a guilt edge open goal and the just when you've got what you deserve, the dreaded VAR intervenes with the agony of having to wait for five minutes.

Football is broken

I think his little finger was offside. (ok I know) :hehe:

But that's how stupid it was.

I only turned it on when they were looking at the offside.

Is the rule now any part of the body off side then you are offside?

Upper arm, or some bollocks.

Just pray you haven't got a lob on, when the ball hits the back of the net :hehe:

I thought it was any part of your body you can legally score with?

At the moment VAR is not ruining the experience for supporters in the ground but as soon as they return there will be another problem.

That would be a hard decision.

The weird thing is that as soon as I saw the replay, I had no doubt he was offside. A year ago I wouldn't have even understood that it was even possible, and I'd still be listening to the pundits now trying to get my head around it.

Has anyone looked into Jarrod Bowen's lineage?

Should have been a penalty....to busy using their x and y axis lines instead of checking the contact. That was more a penalty than the Brighton one on Saturday...

If you were going to be found offside due to an erection, you'd hope it would be one worth measuring!

VAR was a good idea when it was meant to be putting "clear and obvious errors" right, but it seems to me those days were gone almost as soon as the system started being used - last night's decision was another ridiculous one, it should have been a goal pure and simple because no official could be said to have made an error if they ruled it a goal.

Hot Shot Hamish.

That's where cricket has it right with umpires call.

grew up 12 miles from the Welsh border, his dad played for Merthyr.
He spent 6 weeks with Cardiff as a youngster, before being rejected.
Welsh surname, but by all accounts considers himself 100% English, and that's that.

TOBW is spot on with his comment. There was no "clear and obvious error". The VAR teams have got a new toy and they are determined to show it off.
