Be interesting what team is put out Saturday. Norwich will make mincemeat of our makeshift defence with their pace.

A mixture of results under Mr Harrington.

Won away at Sjoke a few weeks ago, but last season, lost at home to Bristol (my heart won’t let me put xxxx), drew at home with Abertawe Town, and also drew away with Weeds (3-3). He sent Morriston off though at Weeds and also gave a pelanty against him at Sjoke, so he doesn’t like him :hehe:

PhyllisStant

They have 10 first team players missing - our performance so far is unacceptable. The difference in hunger and desire (skill aside) is frankly embarrassing at the moment

Don Corleone
16-01-21, 15:34
We are playing a back 4 of 2 left backs, a centre midfield player and one centre half who is completely out of form - to be expected I suppose that we would be a defensive shambles

We are all over the shop at the back, outfought and out paced in midfield and toothless and clueless in attack and also appear to lack some desire , certainly in comparison to Norwich. Apart from that not a bad first half.....

you know when your strolling over pontcanna and 2 teams are playing and you stop and watch for a few mins... and you soon figure out they are in the same hairdressers division but 1 team is a gulf in quality better than the other... thats what it feels like im watching here

there was a cracking ball just played and glatzel should have been on it like a cat... its like he dont have any pace, any interest in getting there or just not the quality obviously... so frustrating, to think these 2 teams are at the same level (division)
other than a bit of hustle and muscle from moore i dont know what we have to offer... would love a goal, but maybe norwich will score another 1st

Getting to the point where we may as well start throwing in a few more of the kids into matches. Well presuming we don't get too close to the relegation zone either. Maybe a few more wins first.

A proper look at a few of them, see if they are up to much would at least make the season not a complete write off. I don't think Harris is under as much pressure from the board that some on this board would think.

was only about to say look at the difference in the spring in the norwich teams step... that cantwell for example hes up for every ball, moves into space no one goes with him he picks it passes it off recieves it again, loses it but goes back in for more time and time again

if they dont score again we could actually have a glimmer here, if we level this up it will be ana amazing come back

cantwell again running the show... thats the difference

Now there’s a quote that you don’t expect to see!!!!

surge
16-01-21, 17:21
Positives:

- We play so much better with Moore on the pitch. His return is a big plus and hopefully will be shortly followed by Morrison and Tomlin. Even Flint to give us more options would be nice at this point.
- Bagan got minutes and did well enough
- Vaulks played two nice passes to Bacuna and Murphy had a nice 5 minute cameo. Flashes of nice play happening.
- We don't play against a top 4 team for a while (next is Bournemouth with 8 games before them) so should have a better chance of picking up points

Negatives:

- Pack really shouldn't have got himself sent-off, though arguably turning the game into end-to-end with no central midfield helped improve our chances
- The first half
- We play 3 of the bottom 7 in those 8 aforementioned games and we seem to struggle against them too.

Several players seem lifted by his presence. Ralls in particular was a different player with Moore up front.

I agree get Moore and Morrison fit. A right back in and we will climb the table.

However those 2 get injured then weve got problems. Hopefully the new striker comes good.

If you pass Moore the ball, he controls it and you can get it back. If you pass Glatzel the ball, it bounces off him.

Glatzel isn't good enough to start in the Championship. He needs to be coming of the bench against tired defenders to be effective (like Danny Ward).

Glatzel has managed 3 attempts on target since he opened the scoring 6 games ago against Birmingham.

If anyone offered a soggy, stuck bag of cola cubes for him, I'd be tempted. He's had a glorious opportunity to stake a place in the starting line up after Moore's injury. Some were suggesting he should have been given more of a go. Instead, he's been almost fecking useless. I'm glad Moore is fit again. If he's not ready to start against QPR I'd pick Harris ahead of Glatzel (Neil or Mark, either will do).
