Yeah it’s also very significant in that you need to MAKE the batteries in the UK to call ( and sell them on trade deal terms) , as British goods. Ie. we can sell them to Australia etc as British cars.
Mind you, since we are the only country going nuts on climate change goods we might find ourselves ruined by it if we can only produce windmills , electric vehicles and vegan food products. It’s more than possible that the world at large will have moved on from that stuff in 5/10 years.

Nissan see this as the future for all their cars can't see this industry trend being reversed anytime soon ?

Ironically we supply both of these sites. Sunderland is supplied from our Indian plant and Ellesmere Port from our USA plant. Both are global contracts & as such UK manufacturing not considered.
