View Full Version : Fury V Wilder 3

Anyone watching this?

I think it will be similar to the second, the tactics worked well, Fury used his size and fought on the inside, completely taking away Wilders' right hand.

I don't see why the Fury camp would want to do anything different unless Wilder is capable of forcing it.

Should still be intriguing, Wilder really has to go for the ko to win.

If Wilder has bulked up in attempt to match up with Furys physical strength then its a mistake and he will likely get kod again. I say likely as he is probably the biggest punching champion in boxing history. So hes always got a chance.

Fury inside 8 rounds.

I can’t see anything other than a Fury win.
The fact that Wilder knocked Fury down in the 1st fight will give him hope, but he maybe psychologically damaged that Fury took it and still got up.
I fully expect Fury to take him apart.

Wilder was offered ten million to step aside and let Fury fight Joshua but he declined so obviously wants his revenge badly.
The problem is he sacked his trainer for doing his job - throwing in the towel to protect his fighter.
His new trainer is a guy who Wilder knocked out in ninety seconds in 2014.
To me these decisions are ludicrous
Mentally and physically Fury is in fantastic shape and I can’t see any other outcome than the boxer Fury stopping Wilder late on 🥊

I'll be watching it. Fury should win but Wilder seems like a man possessed and you never really know with Fury what his mental state is

I’m not convinced it’s going to be easy or even similar to the 2nd fight.

I worry about Fury’s camp....missing two weeks due to his new born daughters Ill health.

The extra weight as well on both fighters is interesting.

Interesting breakdown from Teddy Atlas here, who ultimately fancies Wilder.

If wilder wins does that mean there will be a 4th fight?

When Wilder is still there, he will always be dangerous

Who knows.
I’d like to think it would open up a fight with AJ if he would allow Usyk to fight Wilder.

These rematch clauses are a joke!

Wilder early or Fury 6-8th round. Avoid that big right hand and with the extra weight Wilder will tire quicker than last time

Whilst i like and respect Teddy Atlas, i can’t agree with his opinion on this one.
I think Wilder is in it for one last big pay cheque.
His career will ultimately end tonight.

I met him in a New Jersey Casino years back and spent 5 minutes talking about Joe Calzaghe.
Nice Bloke.

This is just the rematch clause from the 2nd, no such clause would exist for fury were he to lose. They could go for a 4th if it makes sense financially but I think whoever wins would move onto something else.

I'd love nothing more than to see Fury getting knocked spark out..
I think the big annoying gimp will win late on or on points if not Wilder wins between 7 and 9 rounds

Think what you like about his character (although Wilder is a bigger arse in my opinion) I think that what he has achieved after 3 years out-serious depression, piss head, Coke head and ballooned to 30 stone, last man standing in wetherspoons-is remarkable.

Fury is only 4lb heavier than the second fight. Not a huge difference.

What a fight that was! That was the best Wilder we're likely to see, i don't think that Fury was at 100%, he'd have had wilder out earlier. Got to give wilder credit for staying in there for so long.

Fury has just stepped up his game and is now levels above most around. No point him fighting AJ, easier fight than Wilder for me

He’s so dominant that there’s no one left for him to fight. Usyk is 25kg lighter and might spoil for a while but he has nowhere near enough power. AJ wouldn’t last 3 rounds.

I wouldn’t dismiss Usyk so easily.
He has the engine and the boxing skills to beat anyone in the division.

Great fight. Wilder in it due to his power until the 7th. After that he took a beating.

Hopefully Fury v Usyk now next summer after their next fights.

Id like to see Joshua v Wilder but I dont think Eddie would risk Joshua fighting Wilder in a non title fight.

Just don't think he gets close enough to Fury and he doesn't hold anywhere near the power Wilder does.

I disgree with Fury stepping up his game and being that dominant on tonights performance and id be looking to replace Sugar Hill.

Lack of head movement little feignting flat footed and much easier to hit and probably too heavy as well.

Sugar Hill seems determined to make him a big punching ko artist.

Hes better than he showed last night.

Saying that the style made it the best heavyweight fight ive seen in years but believe Fury could have made it a lot easier.

Fight like that last night and Usyk has a big chance.

Fury himself said he wasnt at his best and hes right. Im sure he will be better next time.

Great fight, a lot of skill but so much of it was sheer guts and determination. Not sure if fury was a bit off colour, or just didn't have his best night. Seemed to only be about 80%. Scary really as he still won decisively, helluva fighter.

Just looking at the prospective odds. Wilder priced up at 5/4 to beat joshua. Would be printing money surely

Joshua seems gun shy. Hes technically better than Wilder. But I cant see Joshua not being hit by that right hand and it will be all over.

Joshua finds it in himself to let his hands go then id favour him to land a big shot first.

I find it exceptionally unlikely its a fight we will ever see though.

In such a poor era its criminal its a fight thats never happened.

Thought Fury would win easily but Wilder put up a terrific fight and might have won if Fury hadn't had such a good chin. He actually enhanced his reputation in my book, always thought Wilder was overrated as he had never really fought anyone unless he was very old and past it. He won the title against one of the worst champions in recent years Bermaine Stevine who was 41 at the time and fought him again when he was 43. He then spent a few years avoiding anyone any good like Klitscho David Haye Joshua etc.

Think both would beat Joshua without too much trouble.

It was like going back in time watching this fight, real old skool fighters , we are very blessed in this division , Wilder really did deserve this fight and good on him not accepting the step aside millions .

AJ beware , these boys are on another level.
