That video is very damning
PM and other senior politicians weren't there but have defended the event all week. Loads of backbenchers very pissed off apparently.

I think tomorrow he has to fire everyone involved or there will be significant movements internally to start the process of replacing him.

It didn't happen, but if it did (which it didn't) then no rules were broken as all guidance was adhered to while it wasn't taking place.

Boris could be caught with his hands in the till of a children's cancer charity and he would still get voted in , I mean who is the alternative ?

I think we are close to the most preferred alternative being a change in leader and a general election in two years.

Well if my dream ticket new alternative party is set up pronto we might have a chance but that's unlikely so it's another 5 years of your lot

God help us

Everyone used to moan about the corruption and sleaze in other parts of the World but we now are right at the top of the leader board.

With the crap Cameron initiated with the referendum leading to Brexit and now Boris and his gang this, Tory lot has done more damage to the UK than the Germans did in WWII and it ain't over yet.

Richard, I think you should do the right thing and apologise.
Alternatively take the government's lead and deny it

Even with today's utter shambles, this is my favourite gem of the week

The Met added it was the force's "policy not to routinely investigate retrospective breaches" of Covid laws

'I was just burgled'

'Sorry Sir, we don't investigate retrospectively, next time let us know before it happens'

“As bad as Cummings’ road trip for sure” - forty per cent still back the Tories after that, why should this make any difference?

You can't defend the indefensible.

I suspect the 1922 committee will be busy reading its mail in the next few days.

Pretty poor stuff , lets see what happens in the next by election as folk will decide on the trust of government , the rules are there to help others, sadly those in government and public have not always played the game, thankfully the majority has .
