Ahhh, brings back happy memories of Gary Madine's greatest contribution in a Cardiff shirt - telling the Reading 'keeper to hang onto the ball and not hoof it down the pitch :-)

So, not the deft header into Pilkingtons path for him to score the equaliser at Sheffield United in the last seconds of the match, the point that helped get us up into the Premier League then.

Lots of players and events can claim to be the point that helped get us up into the Premier League.

No, Gary played a blinder against Reading in his constant reminders to the Reading 'keeper that both sides had what they wanted from the game. Clearly a much undervalued contribution to some.

Surely every point we got that season helped get us up into the Premier League:shrug:

In all the games he played without scoring and only
providing 1 assist and a measly 1 point I’m sure his replacement in the team had we not signed him would have contributed as much, if not more than this magic 1 point

You do realise that if we'd have lost that game, we'd have still gone up automatically. :hehe:

Aye, but they could have contributed 20 points but not provided that magic 1 point.
