Weird as **** and full on Wicker Man territory.

Could always drive abroad. Your back seat would then be free for the ladies.
Re: The Great British Holiday
Used to love Haven sites when the girls were young, then enjoyed many weekends at Butlins as they got slightly older, then they were too old for the entertainment at Butlins
Love going to centre parcs, used to know a member of the senior management team ( they have since retired :frown: ), and used to get " staff rooms " ( they keep units back incase of issues, when everyone has checked in and they have no issues, the staff get to book the units for very little money, you need to accept you might only get Sat and Sunday night, or even late friday night, BUT at a £150- £200 for 2 night, its a great deal
Used to enjoy camping in our little caravan ( sold it last year ), spent a summer in it down near Newquay ( cornwall ) spend a few days down the same area every easter holiday, it ticks the box of entertainment, just the beach and surfing, we can spend best part of the day on the beach
also do a few days camping every year near Putsborough beach, ironically the beach is joined to woolacombe, but Putsborough is completely different, none of the " tourist stuff ", just a small beach / cafe and toilets, a complete contrast to woolacombe

I like to get away for a month Jan/Feb Thailand mostly, break the back of the winter - not happening this year though.
Re: The Great British Holiday
Bournemouth, think again. It has gone from God's waiting room to student hedonism central. Far too late for me but I was genuinely surprised by the scenes down there.
