I’ve just watched the first episode, and have to say nostalgia ain’t what it used to be.
It’s so refreshing to see the lack of media training the managers had, and just a say it as they saw it approach.
Whereas everything appears so staged these days it was even good fun seeing Greavsie in the mix with the England rugby team. And Lineker practicing his rugby goal kicking with whoever the England rugby full back was.
It may only be 30 years ago but the programme just felt more real and closer to the players, than it does these days with them all being multi millionaires.
