Didn't know he works at a PRU and you've got to love his comment about Piers Morgan!!

Much like Lineker, wants to keep his name out there.
First gay footballer? Guess he never heard of Fashanu then.
Re: Interview With Neville Southall - Worth Reading
That is a great read. Brilliant from Big Nev.
Re: Interview With Neville Southall - Worth Reading
I read that this morning, and was going to post it myself when I came home if no one else had.
Great stuff from Big Big Nev! One of the good guys.
Re: Interview With Neville Southall - Worth Reading
Spot on about Piers Morgan though.

I don't think so, he doesn't do much media work and seems to do plenty for disadvantaged people

Yep very different to Linekar. He is down to earth and rarely does media stuff.
Re: Interview With Neville Southall - Worth Reading
Don't need media stuff with social media.
Never ceases to amaze how many become social activists after finishing their careers.

Footballers are allowed opinions too, just because he expresses them doesn't show he wants attention or to keep his name out there, if he wanted attention he'd do a lot more media work
What Nev does is great and gives a proper platform to people who need it

Southall has never been bothered about what people think of him. I think he is entirely genuine. What he is doing is giving those who don’t have a voice a chance to speak up. Top man.

Also very refreshing the way he doesn't pretend to have all the answers, and is there to educate himself more than anyone else.

Spot on about Piers Morgan, couldn't have put it better myself.
Re: Interview With Neville Southall - Worth Reading
At 59, maybe Neville Southall is still a bit young to fall into the categorisation which tends to afflict everyone over a certain age these days, but it's great to see someone so obviously not living up to the stereotype - great interview.
Re: Interview With Neville Southall - Worth Reading
Read this on the way home yesterday, burst out laughing when I got the bit about the cock tattoo. Sounds like a top bloke.
Re: Interview With Neville Southall - Worth Reading
Neville is a top guy, one of the best people to follow on twitter. I wouldn’t say he’s doing it just for attention either, and even if he was at least a lot of good is coming out of it.
I don’t get people saying linekar does it just for attention either the man fronts bbc’s and bt sport’s football coverage I’m sure he would be better off keeping quiet but does it because he has a genuine opinion on a lot of things.
