There is no way that this should have happened. They are supposed to be in a ‘bubble’ aren't they with no outside contacts ? If the staff member and coaches have tested positive in the last week or so then they must have been circulating whilst they have been in this country.

Exactly, which is why the ECB initially announced (quite rightly) that India would forfeit the match. However, that statement has now been retracted.

All the players returned negative PCR tests yesterday, so for the BCCI to say they cant raise a team surely is wrong. They must be weighing this decision up against the possibility of players testing positive (after being in close contact with the coaches who have) and affecting the start of the IPL (and the money it's worth to them).
