Re: It’s A Wonderful Life
I'll be watching tonight as I wrap the last of the gifts. The trick is to watch it without ads. Otherwise, it's a 3-hour commitment.
Re: It’s A Wonderful Life
George Bailey. Jolly good fellow.
Re: It’s A Wonderful Life
Was, rightly, voted Best Christmas film of all time this year - a very un 2020 like film.

Re: It’s A Wonderful Life
Sadly in 2020 there are more Old man Potters than George Baileys in this world.
Re: It’s A Wonderful Life
Still a major plot hole that Bedford Falls which was called Bedford Falls before George Bailey was born is somehow called Pottersville though.
And there's no-way a sort like Mary Hatch becomes an old maid. She was engaged to Sam Wainwright before George stole his mate's bird.

Duh, George wasn’t there to stop Potter taking over the Building & Loan, thus taking over Bedford Falls and changing the name.

But the old man whose tree George hits would at least know that it used to be called Bedford Falls.

If George never existed, and Potter took over, the old man would still exist. His tree would remain undamaged, but he would know that Pottersville used to be called Bedford Falls. Back when his dad or grandad planted the tree.
And hot Mary would be married to Sam Wainwright.
Also, why would Harry Bailey be out with a bunch of older kids sliding on to a frozen pond? George saves his life but he's also the one that makes him slide down the bank.
And how does George's existence affect hot Mary's eyesight? No George, she wears glasses, with George, 20/20 vision.
