Another new ref for us.
Hope he's up for the job, not like the newbie we had the other week.

Re: COVENTRY CITY v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
Tough game this, Coventry have started the season well. I imagine it's unlikely that any of the players missing yesterday will be available

Did City 3 - 2 Birmingham last season.

Re: COVENTRY CITY v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
I realise I predict a lot a of draws but form suggests one here
2-2

Re: COVENTRY CITY v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
Colwill Harris Moore start up top. Lovely.
Evans and Bowen on the bench.

Re: COVENTRY CITY v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
Wonder if this is the Championship game where we score in the opening forty five minutes for the first time this season?
-
Re: COVENTRY CITY v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
Looks an adventurous team .

Re: COVENTRY CITY v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
Good to see Brown and McGuinness in the squad.

I hope it's not the one where a few of us get what we want in regards of a better looking line up and we end up losing, prompting MM to stick Bacuna back in when he's back..

Doesn't seem a lot in midfield, Vaulks and Pack will have a rough day if they get overrun. Not sure if Colwill is the type to be in a middle 3 but maybe those who have seen more of him would know.

Why would he be in a midfield 3?

Re: COVENTRY CITY v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
Out of all the players with contract expiring this year, so far only Smithies, Brown, Tomlin and Vassell haven't seen first team minutes.
Long ol' season to go but Mick's having a close look at (almost) everyone.

I've now seen the lineup as club TV are showing it
Nelson LB, Mozza and Flint CB, Ng RB, Pack sat in front of the defence.
Not sure if pack is playing middle of a back 5 or its a 4 at the back with him sat just ahead, with Bagan Vaulks and Colwill further forward and Harris and Moore up top. A 4132 or a 532.
Or is it likely we are just playing 343?

I assume, seems unlike MM to go for two in the middle or any kind of reshape.

We've played with a midfield 2 for most of Mick's time as manager

Re: COVENTRY CITY v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
Nice to see Coventry sticking with tradition and filming this on a camera Jimmy Hill bought for them

Maybe I just don't see Bacuna as a forward thinking player

Re: COVENTRY CITY v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
Coventry playing well, very quick on the counter attack.
Cardiff Commentary making my teeth itch already.

Re: COVENTRY CITY v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
Coventry look a good side. Some lovely play through the centre

Re: COVENTRY CITY v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
Mozza just now, as the ball comes to him off pack in midfield, has a pass out to his right 10 yards to Ng, turns his body and lumps it 60 yards to the left wing, fair one Kieffer nearly caught it but he was offside.. PLAY THE ****ING SIMPLE BALL IF YOU DON'T POSESS ****ING PASSING SKILLS.
1 nil.
