No. We will win this one comfortably. I am very confident.

Stoke's awful form goes back a lot further than six games - they've won just one of their last eleven Championship matches. The only win they've had since mid-January was against a Swansea side who were down to ten men for the last half an hour.

Saying that, their last 15 defeats have all been by a single goal.

Re: CARDIFF CITY v STOKE CITY. Match thread
I haven't watched Stoke much - just Quest highlights - but the general opinion seems to be that Nick Powell is their best player and also their playmaker. He is injured again - out for another 6 weeks.
Based on recent form we have a fair chance of ending the season above Stoke (and Swansea if we win the derby).

Mr Woolmer doesn’t normally like us very much.
God, we must have been good at Blackpool, to get an away win out of him

Re: CARDIFF CITY v STOKE CITY. Match thread
May 1st 2002 one of the most depressing nights I've had following the City.
Still can't walk past a "stay off the grass" sign to this day 😔

Re: CARDIFF CITY v STOKE CITY. Match thread
I remember trying to go to stoke one year and the bus broke down on city road and no other’s available. Don’t think I’ve ever been actually.

People remember that 3-3 draw at Luton when they think of Woolmer, that was his second time in charge of a City game, but the 2-1 win at Brighton earlier in the season in his first is far more typical of what tends to happen when he takes charge of one of our matches. I’ve just looked on Soccerbase and we were unbeaten in our first twelve games when he took charge. There is the possibility that I may have missed one or two City matches he’s done, but, even if I have and we lost those, they’re not going to change the fact that we tend to do well in matches he takes charge of, because I make it that our record is Played 20, won 12, drawn 4 and lost 4.

I'm predicting a City win. 2-0, goals from Hugill and Ikpeazu.

Wouldn't be surprised to see them both start.

Re: CARDIFF CITY v STOKE CITY. Match thread
0-1 Smithies should have done better there....
-
Re: CARDIFF CITY v STOKE CITY. Match thread
THREE errors from Ng within 10 seconds for that goal
-
Re: CARDIFF CITY v STOKE CITY. Match thread
...and Harris should have done better there....

Re: CARDIFF CITY v STOKE CITY. Match thread
How are we losing this game? No replays on sky but I thought smithies should have saved that just after the commentator said he had the second worst save percentage in the division.
-
Re: CARDIFF CITY v STOKE CITY. Match thread
We're trying the killer ball too often and end up giving it away.

Ng is responsible for that goal
