17200 ish is pretty decent IMHO for a midweek game with the opposition not bringing many.
Re: Attendance last night
For what it's worth, the official attendance was 17,202.
Re: Attendance last night
It's not spectacular is it, and it means it's only half full, but not so long ago that was a decent crowd.
Could get worse..
Re: Attendance last night
My bad, I thought they said 15k and certainly felt a lot less there to me!

There are usually a fair few season ticket holders missing for midweek evening games and people will be on holiday at this time of year as well. The club was announcing crowds of over 17,000 when the stadium was clearly less than half full for games at the end of last season when we had nothing to play for.

Re: Attendance last night
That’s our average gate screwed in the records books by 10,000
The attendance was 17,202
But the data has now been entered as 7,202
https://www.worldfootball.net/attend...p-2022-2023/1/
Average should be 18,496.

Re: Attendance last night
The Ninian and Canton seemed well populated. It was the Family and Grandstand that weren't so full.

we were in the family stand (very quiet as per), the canton looked ok as normal but i thought everywhere else looked a bit sparse

Yes I saw that , they did the same with Swansea
On a separate note the season we averaged 22,999, they got the Peterborough attendance figure wrong , if they had published the correct one we would have averaged over 23,000.

People working, public transport in midweek, cost of living etc etc but in fairness those in the canton gave good support as always and the team never gave up so lots of positives as well

That's going to be impacting every single club
Sometimes people talk as though only we are hit by these things
I didn't think it was 17000 tbh

Decent crowd, though. We've managed to build our fanbase over the last 20 years.
Re: Attendance last night
The Ninian Stand and the Grange End (Family Stand?) rarely look good on TV.

It's not a decent crowd
We have had worse of course
But it's not a decent crowd
Re: Attendance last night
Over 33,000 at Bloomfield Road tonight according to the BBC.
Must’ve been a tight squeeze considering the stadium holds 16,600.

Usual thing. Season tickets counted .
Given we wouldn’t have had much walk up and there were only about 300 Luton fans I’d reckon we are well over 14k season tickets sold.

Looks like they have included Blackpool’s 33,000 into this seasons average :hehe:

Bristol City , Stoke City, only marginally better last night with probably bigger away support
