Re: Ninian Park is still on Google Streetview
I notice the the gates that are labelled as being 'In Constant Use' are closed.....
Re: Ninian Park is still on Google Streetview
If you go past the stadium either way the houses are there. Quite like that it is still there
Re: Ninian Park is still on Google Streetview
It’s great that Ninian is still there but makes you wonder why when you scroll past it either way, you get the latest images?
Re: Ninian Park is still on Google Streetview
The old lady (said no one ever)
Re: Ninian Park is still on Google Streetview
I wonder who used to play there. I guess we'll never know. Secrets.
Re: Ninian Park is still on Google Streetview
Assuming these all get archived somewhere it will be very interesting for future generations to go street to street decades into the past. Probably on some vr headset.
Re: Ninian Park is still on Google Streetview
It says June 2008 on the Google image on the tab on the left so you are right.

I think so.
Re: Ninian Park is still on Google Streetview
I wonder if google could keep previous versions of street view / google earth accessible moving forward.
Imagine how great that would be in 50 years time, I can imagine a old man showing his grandchildren the street he grew up on and where he walked to school, the nostalgia and memories would be priceless,

Re: Ninian Park is still on Google Streetview
If you follow the road to the main car park behind the Ninians stand you get to go past the stadium with the neil warnock picture on the stadium. Then all of a sudden you get Ninians park with the grandstand of Ninian park half way being demolished.

My house in Llanishen is November 2020
The house I lived in as a kid in the Heath is May 2012 Doesn't seem much rhyme or reason when they take the views

I think in the early days Google street view only did the main roads. Later on they filmed more side roads aswell.

It already does do that. If you click the little clock in the top left of the screen it brings up a timeline with a slider and you can see previous street views. Google started SV in 2007 so in a lot of places you can go as far back as then.
