Best and worst age decades?
20's were the best, 50's is a bit of a difficult one, kids leaving and needing financial help and a lot of guidence, although I like that aspect, but failing parents is a tough period to go through!
Does it get better, and what are/were the best/worst for you?

Re: Best and worst age decades?
20s were amazing. It really saddens me to see so many young people go through mental anguish in their 20s because, frankly, life generally only gets more complex.
30s okay. Just into my 40s.
Unfortunately I've had an unwell parent for the last 15 years. It is a horrible experience, although far worse to lose them young of course.

20’s a bit hit and miss
30’s good. Got my life sorted out both personally and professionally
40’s Decent and consolidated
50’s Tough. Lost both parents and work hard going.

Re: Best and worst age decades?
I’m enjoying my 60s, take plenty of holidays, weekends away etc, that’s my tip. You’re really not on this planet very long. Keep a little bit back for a rainy day but don’t be financially over cautious, no good having a few bob but you’re too infirm to enjoy it and that massive nest egg will do you no good when you move permanently to Thornhill.

Re: Best and worst age decades?
I always tell my kids that your twenties are the best time of your life. Mine certainly were.

Re: Best and worst age decades?
Nothing like being 23, glad I enjoyed it to the max…slowed in my 30’s and sorted the big stuff out:hehe: marriage and the joy of kids and all that brings.

18-25, OMG. Freedom sex, alcohol & rock & roll
40s at my mental peak
60s tired of everything & falling to pieces

Re: Best and worst age decades?
I was a bit of a late developer. Things started to come together for me in my 30s. My 40s were quite good too.
50s, I was physically fit but started to get mental issues, nothing too serious, just sometimes I would get feelings of regret and worthlessness (I had not experienced such feelings prior to this period).

I agree, 60's fingers crosssed most of us have a fair chance at good health, 70's on it's often too late for many to travel, I intend to enjoy them.

Agreed forties were great too, 50's are generally going well, except we will lose our remaining parents and it is a terribly sad period.

Re: Best and worst age decades?
20s were great nothing but playing football, pub and dating.
30s my knee disintegrated, my hangovers last up to 3 or 4 days and I've settled down.
Would love to be in my 20s again.

Re: Best and worst age decades?
Don't think I have good or bad decade's just good or bad times - bad times normally around Ill health or bereavement in the family - everything else I normally count my blessings and am grateful for how lucky I have been

Re: Best and worst age decades?
20s all over the place. No direction at all.
30s calmed down, more thoughtful, realised I wasn’t qualified for anything started night school
40s Started to work in higher Ed. Gained the qualifications I needed.
50 good career and life trajectory
60s found the love of my life and re found direction and interests in different things.
I have been blessed to have had more than a second chance and I can’t believe how fortunate I’ve been in my later years
