FT: CARDIFF CITY 3 - 0 HULL CITY. Match thread
Wednesday July 22nd, ko 7:30pm.
Quite simply Cardiff need a point to secure a play off place or for Swansea not to win.
Any number of scenarios are possible with three teams vying for one promotion place WBA, Brentford or Fulham). Three teams vying for two play off places (Forest, Cardiff & Swansea).
And 8 teams could still finish in the bottom three

Not sure yet. I think they are waiting for this round of games to finish before they announce them.

Barnsley did beat Forest, but at home.

Hull are pretty much relegated so hoping for a good win and no last minute hitches.

Re: CARDIFF CITY v HULL CITY. Match thread
Think they'll do us 1 nil just to keep the shenanigans going on a bit longer.

Re: CARDIFF CITY v HULL CITY. Match thread
Last time I was this confident we'd get a result was the playoff final against Blackpool, so here's to hoping it doesn't end the same way :hehe:
On a serious note if we play the team that played against Boro we should win, and win comfortably really. I think Glatzel's confidence is clearly going up, I'd certainly start him, hopefully he/we can bag one or two and go into the playoffs full of belief.
I can't believe I'm posting this prediction in a public domain, but I'm going for 5-0 City.
I have no doubt we will lose this game now

After we were relegated from the third tier in 2000, we played Bristol Rovers in the last game of the season and played with far more freedom than we had previously and won 1-0. As a result, Bristol Rovers missed out on the play-offs. This is what I thought of when I realised the situation we're facing, cos my brain is nice like that.

Yes I also remember that game! I guess we can’t afford to rest any players tonight, will be surprised to see Hoillett playing though, reckon Murphy will keep his place

I think Hoilett will start, if fit. We need to be defensively sound right from the off, Hoilett gives us that. A little tough on Murphy perhaps, but sentiment shouldn't come into it.

I remember relegated City beating Man U 2-0 in the last game of last season too. No room for complacency I think.
Incidentally, @Der Kaiser, if we were to win by umpteen goals we could overtake Forest on goal difference even if they win.
