While we're at it, let's make a list of Cardiff City legends
Peter Whittingham has to be on the list.

Jack Evans, scored the first ever goal at Ninian Park in 1910, even helping to build the ground. Our first ever professional. Scored in our inaugural Football League match in 1920, First City player to be called up by Wales. With us from 1910-26, 354 appearances, 58 goals.
A cert for a Hall of Fame.

I’ll pick two, already both mentioned, who represent why I support City.
Don Murray & Brian Clark

Re: While we're at it, let's make a list of Cardiff City legends
What defines a football club legend?
Skill/ability? Longevity at the club? Loyalty? 'Magic moments'? Inspiration to fans and emerging players? Behaviour on and off the pitch?
Or is it just a player who is talked about in the pub, the ground, on message boards years/decades/generations after he (or she) called it a day? Can a current player be a legend?
I reckon if there are more than half a dozen names on a Cardiff City legends list the point has been missed.

Am I missing something?
Why has no one mentioned a certain Phil Dwyer?

Phil Dwyer is obviously top of the list. In my lifetime, Whitts probably comes second. John Toshack was a bit before my time. I don't even remember him going to Liverpool. A promotion definitely would have helped. Earnie. Players of that ilk.

Surprised you didn’t mention Splott’s very own Len Davies.

Re: While we're at it, let's make a list of Cardiff City legends
Danny Malloy, captained City’s 59/60 promotion winning side. Immense centre-half ( centre back nowadays)

I would set the bar high and include
Fred Keenor
Alan Harrington
Alf Sherwood
Tom Farquason
Derek Tapscott
Peter Rodrigues
Peter King
Dom Murray
Phil Dwyer
Dave Bennett
John Toshack
Brian Clark
Peter Whittingham
Robert Earnshaw
Other legendary players to have played at CCFC
John Charles
Ivor Allchurch
Robbie Fowler
Leo Fortune West
Robin Friday for all the wrong reasons
Undoubtedly there are more pre 60,s players that should be on the list.
The top three players or team of each decade might be interesting

On that basis I offer you Lethal Lynex, and personally, probably because it was my era, I’d have Chris Pike too….
