Morison's men to be history makers?
This is only the 4th time in our history that we've won our first 2 home league games without conceding a goal. That's a stat that surprises a little, but here's the seasons:
1949/50:
Cardiff City 1-0 Sheffield Wednesday
Cardiff City 1-0 Swansea Town
2009/10:
Cardiff City 4-0 Scunthorpe United
Cardiff City 3-0 Bristol City
2017/18:
Cardiff City 3-0 Aston Villa
Cardiff City 2-0 Sheffield United
2022/23:
Cardiff City 1-0 Norwich City
Cardiff City 1-0 Birmingham City
We've never won our opening 3 home league fixtures without conceding a goal. We have the chance to do so against Preston in 2 weeks time.
We have won our first 3 home league games on 10 occasions: 1923/24, 1928/29, 1932/33, 1934/35, 1936/37, 1937/38, 1946/47, 1959/60, 2012/13 and 2017/18. Only in 1934/35 and 1937/38 did we go on to win our first 4 home league games. We've never won our opening 5. We've twice gone an entire season at home unbeaten and our longest run of league games without defeat stands at 27.

You've just jinxed us Eric.

It won’t happen. The first opponent that turns up and that will be that

I pointed out last season about how we'd never lost 8 on the trot before. I didn't manage to jinx that :frown:

On a serious note, it is of course a nice thought, I'm just concerned that we're still looking weak at the back. Birmingham didn't push us much today.
West Brom should have a bit more about them so will be interesting to see how we do.
On another note, Norwich have had a shocker of a start!

Can I assume you mean without conceding?
