How does it get decided which threads are given stars and who decides how many of them should be awarded? I had assumed that the stars were some sort of indicator as to the thread's quality. but then I read some of the five star ones full of contributions from our friend from Leeds (or Merthyr), the WUM Tandy and the very angry man from Chepstow and realise that this cannot the case.
I replied to this thread earlier and now it's disappeared?????

It Appears to only be used by people that like to chat rubbish. So completely irrelevant to the quality of the thread.
And of course a good thread can be derailed and taken over for their usual arguments from entrenched positions by the usual suspects, and as ordinary non-schizoid posters only have one vote they cannot vote again in an attempt to reduce the number of stars showing.
