1977. I hope I go to heaven
I was at the Villa game in 1960 in the Boys enclosure at the Grange End. The crowd was massive and I believe far greater than the official 55000 as a lot of people were able for free to get in from across the railway and from the houses at the rear of the Grange End. I think there was a ladder from one of the rear gardens which could be used but it was a heck of a long way up. I used to park my bike for about a penny at one of the houses in Sloper Road.
