I agree, and in any case it's a load of bollox.
They talk about the old colour but 120 years ago the colours were maroon and cream and remained so until the 1960's at least. Thyeey are the original colours and are what they should go back to.
Re: Good News At Last Orange Buses Back
this will be another hot debate... who gives a toss what colour the buses are.. get them on time, clean and cheap.

I always thought that the buses colours were chocolate & amber. I assumed that these were the traditional civic colours of Cardiff and, indeed, our original colours. I always imagined that Bartley chose the colours because of this, makes sense.

Agree about returning to those colours except the colour scheme was Crimson Lake and Cream and not maroon. It ought to be the City's second strip as well.

That is absolutely right, but looked more like chocolate and yellow.

Agreed. I guess repainting a bus would cost at least £1000 and Cardiff Bus have 120 of them. That's a lot of money for what?

For nothing
Whilst for totally unrealistic nostalgic reasons I would like to see our buses in the old Crimson Lake and Cream livery the reality is that branding goes by the board in these straitened times. Buying vehicles in the cheapest base colour and adding your branding with a few stick on transfers is, by and large, the order of the day. All white 21 Reg buses have started to appear on the streets of Cardiff.

Bring back the 10A and 10B trolley buses....
Re: Good News At Last Orange Buses Back
Who cares what colour they are. As long as they are on time and get you where you want to go, that’s all that matters
